Looking Glass means mirror, but it was also the historic code name for an airborne command and control center operated by the United States. The film also works with the motif from Lewis Carroll’s „Through the Looking Glass“. Immerse yourself in another world through the mirror. However, the world in the film in the mirror is ultimately not a different world, but merely the extension of a deserted world. The well-known motifs of city, apartment and landscape are fragile fragments that only simulate a whole. They are parts of a stage-like illusion, which in turn is part of a world that is under constant surveillance and at the mercy of foreign powers.
